| - Tanzy's update. All I can say is UNBELIEVABLE. From the minute I posted a critical review to the visit last Saturday night, the General Manager and one of his staff members were in frequent, humble and apologetic contact with me. The GM, Ben, left me his cell number!!!! and asked if we would return and give them the opportunity to demonstrate their high standards of service. My friends had frequented this restaurant MANY times and it was their "go to" place. Having said that, after our disappointing experience in late December they decided they weren't going to return.....ever. In fact, they felt it was risky to continue to take out of town guests there if ours was the kind of "customer experience" they could expect. Ben arranged for our visit, came by the table and chatted and checked in with us on a few occasions (but without being intrusive) Our Server, Charlie was just amazing and we followed nearly all of his recommendations. And Matt, who prepared the table side cheese (mozzarella) was wonderful and VERY knowledgeable about particular unique salts/spices and oil to use for different tastes....if there is such a thing as a "cheese sommelier" Matt is one. And the experience of the table side preparation is entertaining and informative.. Our food was delicious from the calamari appetizer (best I have EVER had) to the Branzino, Steaks and even the chocolate ganache cake with banana carmel ice cream. If you have had a less than stellar experience here recently or if you haven't been in awhile, GO BACK! You will be so impressed with the attention to detail, the informative and warm servers, the excellent food and ambiance. Huge thanks again to Tanzy's. My friends will most certainly return and we were all were thrilled to have such a memorable meal.
