I have never been disappointed by the chain or this restaurant. After taking my folks here years ago, it became a "must visit" on their annual spring road trip to the Southwest. This year was no exception, even with a glitch in service.
The patio with water feature was perfect in April and we could talk at normal volume in contrast to the sometimes loud interior.
We placed two orders for grilled trout with shrimp and sauteed spinach and my mother ordered salmon with dirty rice. I got a mixed greens salad and my father got a beefsteak tomato salad with crab meat. The salads were excellent.
The fish was done just right and nicely presented. The trout plate was just the right amount, while my mother left some of the rice on her plate.
The one glitch was a mix up, missing my father's entree. As soon as the first two main courses came out, the waiter realized he had made an error. A manager showed up quickly to apologize, assure us they were fixing the problem, and offer a cup of chowder or bisque. My father took the lobster bisque and the second trout plate came out rapidly.
In the end, the bill showed that they comped my father's whole meal! Way to make things right. Again, we had a great meal with unrushed conversation on the patio. We will certainly plan on returning here and have a strong positive view of the brand.
