  • So back in April of this year, I had my lashes done, with a full facial wax by Christina. I made the appointment a few days ahead of time, and within hours, "Darcy" called and informed me since I was a new and non-established client, I would need to pony up a $50 deposit in order to hold my appointment time. I got the "time is money speech", and scheduled appointments that don't show up are a loss of revenue, since that time has been set aside. I get it. My time is important and valuable, too. Isn't everyone's? I hesitated, and decided to go elsewhere for my lash extensions and waxing. Later that day, Darcy called again, and said she could tell I wasn't the type to stiff them, and to please come in and let them take care of me. I did that, and the original review is posted. While we did not get off on the best footing, the actual service that day was fine and as painless as waxing and lash extensions can be. Thought it might be nice to do the same this past Sunday (12/17) for my upcoming birthday. I made the appointment for 10 a.m. a month before the actual date of service. In that 30 days, Christina changed it to 10:15 a.m., citing the salon itself not opening until 10:00 a.m. I arrived at 10:10 a.m., and found not one, but two appointments ahead of me, both waiting for Christina. I checked with the front desk woman and she mentioned that Christina was running late, but would be with me "as soon as possible". At 10:30 a.m. I walked out, and asked the front desk woman to let Christina know I wouldn't be back. Shortly thereafter I received a call from Christina asking what the problem was and why did I leave? Then, she abruptly informed me that she'd already paid for the lash glue, so .... and she just trailed off. My point was, and is, my time is just as valuable as Christina's and a 15 minute wait on a scheduled appointment is absolutely unacceptable. Whether she was trying to squeeze in a few people in front of me, or she just miscalculated time needed for the other clients, I was the one she chose to make wait, and I chose to leave rather than wait any longer. Add to that being told to come in at 10:15 a.m. "because the salon opens at 10:00" and then having two people ahead of me - obviously a stretch of the truth. I won't be back, and I do not recommend Christina at all.
