Shoot. I booked 4 rental cars for a group from work at Firefly in Phoenix. I saw the reviews and thought to myself "no one ever compliments a good experience, clearly that's the case here". Not the case, why a disaster of a company!
I used BMO world Elite points from my Canadian Credit Card.
Showed up, Firefly attendant AND manager Greg Alarid denied accepting "pre paid bookings".
They charged me a second time for 3 of 4 cars (4th just went somewhere else as he didnt want to wait). At this time, Greg told me if I could prove I paid for the cars they would sort it out.
1) I showed proof of payment receipts and booking numbers (which they had on file, but still claimed they are the only rental car company who does not accept "pre payments")
2) showed my credit car receipt matching the amounts
3) showed my rewards account matching the amount
4) showed my E-invoices from Firefly.
At this time, it was "no effort" to help resolve the situation. I rent 150+ cars per year, and have never ran into this issue....... and I will never be back to Firefly.
After a goose chaise to find Greg, they closed the upstairs office on the other 2 individuals in our group. Locked them out.
Greg promised me a call back, but of course.... Im overdue on that call now by 48 hours.
To boot, the 3 cars we drove out in were still dirty. Looked like they had not yet been detailed.
