  • I wanted to pamper myself to a nice relaxing manicure and pedicure. I called Slick Nails as they are down the street from my house. I asked to make an appointment but was told I could just walk in. I asked if I could come now (Thursday around 11am) and was told yes. I show up and they are busy, so now I have to wait. Not good business practice to make customers wait so long especially when they call ahead to avoid waiting. Finally I get seated at a pedicure chair and I inform the manicurist that I brought my own manicure kit. I'm a germa-phobe so I don't like sharing instruments. (Which by the look of her set I guarantee they were not properly sanitized). She then begins to talk about me with her coworkers (in their language) and they are ALL staring at me and laughing. WOW how rude, but I'm already there, my feet are wet so I sit through the mockery. I have really nice, clean feet so she didn't clean under nails or scrub my feet properly. (Just because I'm clean doesn't mean she can be lazy and skip steps!) My nail polish (I brought from home too) was not painted on consistently, so it looks old and fades, instead of fresh and bright. Moving on to hands, she places bowl of water on my lap to soak fingers (not very relaxing) while she begins to work literally on top of me. No joke she is standing over me cutting my cuticles in the air. Well of course this is uncomfortable for me and she ends up cutting me really bad (my fingers still hurt as I type this review). I guess by this time she is hungry or something because she rushed through my French tip polish and it looks sloppy and unprofessional. So $40 later it's time to leave, I'm super disappointed I wasted my time and money at this salon. Recap: - Customer service is awful, felt disrespected for no reason. - Salon atmosphere is awful, chairs are old and ripped, tools look dirty. - Prices are comparable, not cheap considering the level of service. - Nails also awful, looks very sloppy and unprofessional. I do not recommend this salon and I will not be returning.
