| - The restaurant is best with its thoughtfully designed dishes, but the overall experience is weakened by the unthoughtful service, or simply the waiter that we have encountered.
Fresh caught menu offers a pleasant surprise. We've ordered Mediterranean bass cooked in whole. The grilled fish is juicy and tender under crispy skin. Mildly salted and spices, the cooking brought out the essence of the fish's natural taste. The dish comes with a special salsa, grilled greens and mashed sweet potato. The salsa goes well with the fish because the overall sour taster and rich texture really invigorate the tasting buds, making the fish feels even more fresh and tender. The salsa contains some green peppercorn-like pickles in addition to the regular ingredients, and it is not soupy. The mashed sweet potato is richer and more interesting.
The seafood Bouillabaisse is a potato-base soup with a variety of seafood and potato. It's adequate portion and it was brought in a warm le crueset cast iron oven. Well proportioned ingredients and fresh seafood make the dish better than similar dishes in other places, and it is a good choice for a winter my dinner.
We've also tried the grilled calamari for appetizer. The calamari is of good quality and grilled to a turn, but tastes a bit bland in itself. The green sauce is herbal and bitter, yet complemented with the sweet orange color sauce, giving dish quite an interesting flavor.
Now comes the downside. The waiter is rather unresponsive and cold, offering very little suggestions and make us feel that he does not care. The bread offered before appetizer is cold and tough, quite disappointing comparing to the level of the cuisine this restaurant would like to boast.
