I wanted to post an update to my previous review. It's now been 3 days since I went to see Gary Gulman and I'm still cracking up remembering some of his material. It was one of the best shows I have experienced live. Having perused some of the reviews that were posted about that night I find I am completely surprised at some people's interpretations. I am shocked by the reviewer who expressed the comedian's need to create "rapport" with the audience. I was there. The drunk heckler near the front of the room was completely out of line and obnoxious and was interrupting Gary's act with rude and ridiculous comments. I paid to see Gary perform, not listen to some obnoxious drunk woman. I, for one, was very happy when said customer stumbled out of the bar of her own accord. Secondly, let me say that Stand Up, Scottsdale has the most tolerant attitude toward heckling that I have ever experienced at any other comedy club. I'd venture to say this is because the owners and management are going above and beyond to ensure a good experience for the guests and give even the rudest and most un-enlightened customers the benefit of the doubt. I for one hope to go back soon.
