| - I was in need of my annual check up and found this place through my insurance (yay, I finally have eye insurance!). The reason I picked this place was because after calling around, I found their prices for an eye exam and contact fitting to be the most reasonable. When I called to set up an appointment, I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to fit me in the next day! I'm thinking this is great!
I arrive and it's a small office, with decorations from the 90s, definitely not your lenscrafters with everyone dressed in black and all the new name brand glasses.
After having a series of tests done by a tech, I move rooms and wait for the doctor. Once he gets in there, I'm questioned about my eye history. He asks about my contacts and how often I change them. Then proceeds to give me a lecture about not changing my contacts every 2 weeks (realistically, who really changes them out every 2 weeks?!?). So, there's lecture #1. I had worn my old glasses to my exam after not being able to find my new ones. Insert lecture #2 here. He finally starts the exam. After figuring out my prescription, he gives me lecture #3, about wearing old glasses. At this point, all I wanted was my prescription so I could leave and never return. He begins to look through my insurance information and states "you dont get much with it. So how many boxes are you getting from us." My response "None, im going to Costco." His response "Lets look to see how much you can get with glasses. We have a good selection." My response, "No thanks. I wont be needing glasses today."
I pay my co-pay and am so happy to leave. I get into my car and noticed he wrote my prescription for contacts different than I've seen before. He wrote to dispense 2 boxes today with only one refill. WTF?!?! (Thats only 6 months worth of contacts! I thought prescriptions were good for a year and you could buy as many boxes as you wanted.) I also noticed he did not include my prescription for glasses. I make my way back in and let the girl at the front desk know im missing my prescription for my glasses and she states "he told me you're coming back to pick a pair of glasses." I wanted to let her know that Id never step foot back in the office, but instead decided to just stick with "I wont be buying glasses anytime soon."
After leaving for the second time, I decided I had to write a review on the place to try to save the next person from this place. I definitely do not recommend coming here!
