| - I will start off by saying that I love the layout of spot, not over crowded and has a unique chilled out vibe that comfortably caters to high schoolers, college students, young professional and young families. I have been there about 4 times and I have always really wanted to love this place.
On my first visit I noticed a section at the back that hosts weekly moms & tots groups. This are is set up with early childhood education toys etc. A very thoughtful touch that I am sure is a benefit to a brand new community.
I like the food, coffee meets my average standards.
Staff and customer service sucks. I hope that my initial feelings that there is a caring owner behind spot are true. I will update my review should I ever see a difference with this regard.
One time I went, ordered, had just paid and was distracted my dessert in the show case when I looked at the cashier and asked for my change he ( skinny blond guy) said "you didn't take it so I put it in the tip bowl"
Another time I did not get what I wanted instead of arguing in front of a long line I said" just give me what I want and charge me for it" -they did charge me ( again) and I left my unused, unwanted coffee on the bar rail - I am sure I offered to pay to quickly and I could have gotten my proper drink for free but I decided it was not worth arguing for 3 dollars, now they can decide if this review was worth 3 extra dollars!
Today was the the icing on the cake, dark curly hair girl was so rude! I ordered a sandwich the girl went over to make it and I thought she yelled something to me, I said " pardon, did you say something to me?" She rolled her eyes, raised her eyebrows and said no, it was so obvious that she was giving attitude I said "wow" looking straight at her
Seriously, Starbucks is set to open in weeks, right across the street - bad news for spot especially with the current attitude of staff.
I would always support a community based spot over corporate Starbucks but never at the cost of being ridiculed & ripped off.
