| - We've been to this restaurant several times in the past for numerous occasions (Valentine's Day, date nights, etc.) and finally getting around to writing a review after our last visit two days ago. We decided last minute to go in for their happy hour and, if we were in the mood, stretch it out into a full blown dinner. Luckily, its Restaurant Week so there was no hesitation in deciding to stay for dinner!
One of the things I like about Honey Salt is they allow their customers to take part in the happy hour menu from the main dining room...a novel idea that I think more restaurants should allow for. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower and the lump crab lettuce cups. The latter was so good we ordered another! Their cocktails were outstanding, as usual, and half-priced for HH.
They had a 3-course prix fixe menu specially for Restaurant Week and it was a knockout and fairly priced at $40.17 per person. My wife chose the New England Fry for app, Steak Frites for main, and the ridiculously tasty fudge brownie/chocolate chip cookie/salted caramel ice cream dessert. I had the Caesar salad, grilled Scottish salmon for main, and the vanilla panna cotta. Everything was perfectly executed and delicious. Service was spot-on as well - personable, efficient and attentive.
Honey Salt is a great place to have in our neighborhood and I'm glad they're here. Consistency with restaurants isn't always easy to come by but Honey Salt manages to pull it off every time. We'll definitely keep going back!
