I know I am preaching to the choir here, but what better place to find a choir! A little behind on my Broadway shows, I finally attended a performance of "Jersey Boys," which was met with a packed house. The Overture Center is one of the most impressive theater/performance venues I've ever seen. From the time you enter the four or five story lobby to the phenomenal aesthetic and acoustic experience of the main auditorium, to sitting in what is a modernist architectural marvel, and making your way around to concessions during intermission, it is all a pleasant experience. The staff and ushers are friendly, and the program offerings are nicely varied during the season from symphony to theater to opera. One of those "not to be missed" Madison cultural attractions. The downtown/Capitol location is as good as it gets, too. Reasonably-priced convenient parking is one block away.
