I have lived at this complex for a combined five years. I've seen it go through multiple owners and all the associated ups and downs. While things are certainly better here than they were before I would not recommend living at this complex simply due to how poorly made the apartments themselves are. Some of this is the fault of the owners. Some of it is not. For instance, in my one bedroom apartment the bedroom remains a steady ten or more degrees warmer than the rest of the apartment. I regularly have to decide whether I want to be frozen in my living room, or baked alive in my bedroom. This leads to horrendous power bills which really make me question if the cheap rent at this complex is really worth it. The other issue is the cheap flooring they put in. I'm in one of the remodeled units and the hard flooring they put in is extremely fragile. I have damage to flooring I will no doubt have to pay for simply because my furniture touched the floor. Resting my couch in one place too long damaged the floor. That's what you get when you buy the cheapest flooring available. When my lease is up I will finally move away from here. With the gentrification of Mesa become a more clear reality the rent at Tuscany Palms is likely to increase beyond what is reasonable given the condition of the units. My advice is to keep looking. Tuscany Palms is a last resort kind of complex.
