| - Visited Bink's for the first time last night. I was excited to see this more price (and location) friendly alternative to Binkley's in Cave Creek. Don't get me wrong, you won't be confusing the food, service (or prices) for what you get at Binkley's, but all of the food was fantastic and the service was a huge improvement over the questionable Yelps from the past few months. That said, we did dine at 5pm and there was only one other couple in the restaurant when we showed up. Also, because we dined so early, it was still happy hour from 5-6, so several of the items we ordered were at a reduced cost.
I was looking forward to the fried brussels sprouts, but since they focus on fresh produce, the menu had changed for summer and they were no longer available. However, the cheesy broccoli was spicy and fantastic. The fries were fries, but the white truffle ketchup was awesome.
The mussels were great and the sloppy joe (only available at happy hour) was delicious. We all had different salads and everyone was extremely pleased with their order. The pecan soup was also very good according to one of our dinner mates.
The server was attentive and the bus boy kept our beverages filled. The only service error was that one entrée came out before the others, but the waitress quickly apologized and gave what I felt was a quality explanation for the misstep.
The ingredients were fresh and the flavors wonderful. I'll definitely be back - and probably at happy hour.
