| - I decided to try this after careful research. As an older person (not 20s) who is overweight and out-of-shape, I wanted something that was not boring and would help me get into shape. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. First, the bootcamps were in the AM - when the park was closed - and as a warm-up you have to run through the park. I could not keep up, so I was running/jogging through the park by myself. The instructor did not try to see where I was (or anyone else that was behind), so I started carrying my cell phone and pepper spray. He did tell me to come earlier so that I could finish with the others (earlier than 5AM) Also, the instructor told me to do an exercise, and I didn't have any idea as to what to do. When I asked, instead of explaining or referring me to someone else, he told me that he did not have the time to stand there and explain it to me. He told me to follow another student. Well, that student asked him what we were supposed to do, and he answered that question. He could have just answered m y question. I tried to keep up, but did not really know what to do or really how to modify. When doing team exercises, I was excluded (not given a chance to work with them)by the others because I was not as athletic. In one instance, I heard them tell each other not to throw the ball to me. The last straw was when the instructor decided to play "catch" with me with a 12 lb medicine ball. He kept throwing it, and I dropped it a few times. I ended up fracturing a finger. I am going through physical therapy now to get use of the finger. This program might be good for those who are intermediate and/or already in shape, but there aren't any provisions for those of us who are truly rank beginners. They need to have a beginners class, or have modifications in place to help those of us who are not so athletically inclined. An example is to have the beginner run for the warm-up where the instructor can see that person.
