| - I was blown away with the location, staying here during my first of what was to become many business trips to Montreal. . . I'm now in the process of moving to the city. The rooms are spacious and, as you'd expect at the Embassy Suites, they're all suites. My big problems with this property were that during the entire months of January and February they were doing work, some of it painting, and despite coming and going a few times throughout these months, I always seemed to get a room on the floor that most had the smell of paints and/or solvents. But I can't fault them for keeping up with good maintenance. What I can take exception to, however, is the exorbitant amount they charge for parking. At almost $30/night after taxes, it's just too much. I have a few more trips to go before I am able to take possession of my place, and my company has asked that I find someplace a little cheaper, and it was the cost of parking that put it over the edge for them. But if I was coming to town without a car, looking for easy access to both the downtown and Old Montreal, I'd seriously consider the Embassy!
