  • The greatest thing about our stay? The breakfast and Martha! I can't say enough great things about her. You can find her at the breakfast bar first thing in the AM with a bright smile on her face and clearing your tables quickly with no fuss. While we were at the pool, she was so sweet to bring us some pitchers of ice cold water. Very genuine gem and this place is lucky to have her. I was disappointed when after an hour of being at the pool for about an hour, two "chics" (I dare call them women because they were anything BUT) decided to waltz their ass in, smoking IN the pool and throwing their ashes right on the edges of the pool. I did call the front desk who advised smoking at the pool is allowed since they have ash trays however when I informed the young lady that the ashes were just being strewed on the sidewalk, she advised someone would come to take care of it. (Mind you there are at least 10 kids running around, including my four) So the manager comes by (Ted I believe is his name? I'm assuming he's in charge since he was nicely dressed in a suit), and it's like he's on first name basis with these chics. Brings them a bottle of wine or champagne ( a bottle of something we'll just say) and sent out pitchers of water...delivered by our lovely Martha) and they proceed to tell him they're hungry and he states he'll take care of it whatever whatever. The thing that really set me off is that one of them thought I'd be ok to address me kids about jumping in the pool. "That is not ok!" "Where are your parents?" But I didn't hear shit when I yelled over that it's a damn pool and if she doesn't want to get wet to get the fuck out! Obviously this interaction was not anything within control of the hotel per say BUT since they seemed to be on first name basis with the manager, maybe he can pass the word that their cunt like attitude may land them drinking more pool water than they bargained for! We did have an issue with the toilet not flushing properly and the tub not draining. It was fixed while we were out but then the toilet issue happened again (we weren't stuffing in, it just refused to go down), but was promptly taken care of. Overall, we had a nice family staycation. The kids enjoyed themselves and so did we. Although it may not be our first choice in the future, we wouldn't mix it either. Good bang for the buck. Close enough to downtown that you can find something to do.
