Hi there,
Typically I dislike giving stores bad reviews, but today I had a pretty terrible experience at this Safeway location. Around 12pm today I went into Safeway to fax ONE very important paper to my bank. While walking up to the customer service desk, the young lady behind the counter kindly told me their fax machine was down and my fax might not go through. Since the paper was important and I was on a time crunch, I asked her if she could ask her manager to fax the paper for me. (Since management has a different fax machine in their office). Well apparently this manager was so worried about the $1.00 I had to spend. He/she declined to fax this paper. This is my thing, I've been a very loyal customer for years. If you're a manager of a major grocery store and you KNOW for a fact your fax machine is down, as a customer I expect two things. Either make sure the store has a BRAND new fax machine that works or you can kindly fax a paper for a loyal customer. It was such a small simple request. This manager had the opportunity to blow me away with amazing customer service. Yet they didn't even have the courtesy to walk out of their office to decline my request. If you're going to deny a customer service. At least have the respect to decline face to face. Yes, this is such a small complaint. But it's the small things that matter to customers. I hope corporate sees this post and takes corrective action and provides coaching and a new fax machine to this Bell Road location.
Thanks
