| - I tried this place for lunch today and had low expectations based on some of the reviews. And then we were the ONLY people in there when we walked in, so that was a bit concerning. However, I'm happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised! It's a really cute place tucked away in a strip mall on Camelback. The decor is great -- kind of upscale barn-sy (in my Sarah Palin voice). LOL.
We started off with the Stuffed Biscuit Bites, which were pretty good, although I wouldn't classify them as biscuits, more like light weight hush puppies. I ordered the 1/2 BBQ Chicken Sandwich with a side salad. Though messy, I was very pleased with the quality of the sandwich. They didn't use a chicken patty, which would have been easy. They actually used chunks of chicken smothered in a peach barbecue sauce. And the bread was light, which was nice. So though I was full after my meal, I wasn't stuffed. The salad was also pretty good, although some veggies (tomato, cucumber, or both) would have been nice.
All in all, a very good meal! And John, our server, was great! I'll be trying them for happy hour next!
