| - My wife and I had a memorable time at St. Francis last night. It was our first time enjoying this establishment and I have to say that we were more than pleased with every aspect of our experience. Our server, Barry, was knowledgeable and helpful regarding sharing with us about the food and making appropriate recommendations. He was attentive without being overbearing. Also, there were other employees that would be at our table when needed, Daniel, Shelby and Ian were all pleasant and made our experience even more satisfying.
We started our meal by ordering the fingerling potato appetizer that was unique and tasty. Who would have thought that seasoned potatoes would qualify as an appetizer, but the St, Francis kitchen staff pulled it off with our kudos. The potatoes come with a couple of dipping sauces, an aeoli sauce and a chili sauce variety...but added to the seasoned potatoes. If you get there before 6 pm, this appetizer qualifies as a happy hour item that becomes a very reasonable item to order.
For our main course, I ordered the Pork Chili Verde and my wife had the Cheese Flatbread. She said it was delicious, not overly seasoned, but subtle hints of garlic and basil tomato sauce enhance the variety of cheeses that are melted on the flat bread. The Pork Chili Verde had that appropriate kick that awakened your taste buds and warmed you on a cool December evening. The chili warmed the palate without being overwhelming.
As with any review, it is one person's opinion and experience...but for my wife and I, we enjoyed our time at St. Francis...the people, the food and the atmosphere..a very positive and enjoyable experience.
