| - In contrast to the general comments here, I seemed to either lucked out with the aesthetician or they've improved, because I had a wonderful 90-min Microdermabrasion which includes steaming, extraction, LED with mask (the mask was optional something like $25 extra which I opted for) and finished off with moisturizing. It was the most pleasant facial+Microderm experience i've had downtown Toronto.
Yes, the place appears less than stellar and could use major interior upgrades, but the service and equipment were great. My aesthetician was Maryan (I think that's how you spell it). She was friendly without being too pushy, unlike some places. She only offered me the mask for extra, but wasn't being pushy about it. I could've comfortably say no, but I actually wanted it because I was curious, plus I love masks, so why not.
The treatment room was small and dim, i was a little worried when i just came in, because every other place I've been to for facial, it's always been very bright with many fluorescent lights. This was more like a massage room. I was worried she wouldn't see my skin properly in such dim lighting, but I came out rejuvenated and my skin felt amazing. My whiteheads & blackheads were gone (or very minimal that I couldn't see them) and the mysterious bumps on my face were at a minimum, as you would expect from a microderm. I would definitely come back for those treat-myself days, not only because I have 2 more sessions from my Groupon.
Oh and the bathroom was clean!
I would've given them 5 stars if the place looked nicer with rooms that looked more legit that it wouldn't make new clients worry before their treatment.
