  • 000000- ZERO out of 100 stars!!!!!!! I paid them $160 for a counseling session that we didn't use due to confusion over my daughter's appointment time. I had 2:30 they had me down for 1:00. I had made this appointment with Sara Van Holland weeks ago and it was an HONEST mix up. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HONEST MIX UP AND STIFFING THE APPOINTMENT. I HAD EVERY INTENTION ON SHOWING UP THERE AT 2:30. They knew I was driving about 40 miles from home for this appointment and knowing this was out of network for my insurance they were very rude and not understanding, insinuating that I was lying about why I wasn't there at the 1:00 time. They charged me anyways $160. To add insult to injury Michelle the front desk person said that she called me the day before to confirm my appt time. Get it right, I called DOORWAYS the day before because I was trying follow up on working out my insurance coverage and I TOLD HER MY APPT WAS THE NEXT DAY BUT I NEVER REPEATED THE APPOINTMENT TIME WITH HER even though she said she confirmed the time with me. We were literally sitting on the couch wasting time just waiting to hop in the car at 1:40. it gets worse..... My daughter initially went to their DBT group once and said it was a waste of time. Normally I would have expected that reaction out of her, but when she told me what they did I felt like a chump who just got jilted out of another $45. So all in all they have charged me $205 and all I got was accused of being irresponsible. I understand there are parents who stiff for appointments and I understand you need policies in place to run your business, I'll never know if the therapists are good or not, they only see me as a liar, which I surely am not. This is a faith based operation and I am a Christian deep in my faith just looking to help my daughter get well. I would never ever go back there because of the way they treated me on the phone, it was uncaring, humiliating, and they refused to even acknowledge the error might have been theirs. I truly hope nobody else had this bad experience with them or ever will.
