  • Where do I start on this rant.....I've stayed im Embassy suites in other locations and it's been ok. Never great, but ok. But this just sucked! For starters, when we landed at 11pm we got a message from our travel mate that the hotel had been overbooked and they had no rooms for us. They put us up next door at the Hard Rock but that's a whole other horror show. When we showed up at 10 to check in, I was told it would be another 20 minutes and offered a chair and a glass of water. I asked if there was somewhere near by I could grab a bite to eat for breakfast which I hadn't had yet because of having to pack and moved and was told it closed at 930 and there wasn't anything nearby! Seriously? This is Vegas for crying out loud!!!! At that point I told them I was done talking to them and they were to take my luggage and I went for a walk. Mind you they could have told me I was within walking distance of the restaurants at the hard rock? When I got back I had a paperbag with two waters a bag of chips and my keys hurriedly tossed my way. The room was meh....and not sure I could call it a suite as the kitchen was a micro a fridge that didn't work, a coffee maker and a sink. The coffee table was also busted. Both nights we were kept awake very late by loud music outside our room. They blamed it on the high school. I did make it for my breakfast the following morning, but for that many people one line for omelets made for quite a long line. They threw some burnt bacon on my plate too (that i didn't order) and it was bad. There was also a bit of a shortage for tables. And the free cocktail hour is also quite uninspired with tortilla chips and veggies and bar mix. Needless to say our last morning there the lobby was filled with at least 100 teenagers from a drill team, so I decided I preferred the walk to the Hard Rock! Needless to say I will NOT be staying off strip again, and I will certainly think twice before heading back to any Embassy suites. Just the fact that they sold our room because our plane was a late one tells me about their ethics.....you can find seriously good deals on rooms elsewhere in Vegas. Don't get sucked in like we did!!!!
