We ended up here for Mother's Day dinner. Our family we were with lives in the area and had heard good things. The place was packed and horribly understaffed. A little boy was seated at the hostess station on his iPhone half heartedly giving roses to the moms. Thanks? Our server Sally was fantastic but she was the only server for a full restaurant. There were some other kids running food and doing tasks that I assume were related to the owner but it felt like they were more in the way than actually helping. We arrived at 5:30 with 2 toddlers and didn't leave until 7:15. It took over an hour from when we ordered until our food arrived. My husband asked to speak to the owner. When he came out he made excuses and said he would ask the chef what was taking so long. But not once did we see the owner helping or working the restaurant. We did however see him smoking and talking on his cell phone.
The chef came out and apologized and said he dropped all the food into a pot of oil. Seriously? Not one single table in the place had food. You dropped all the food in oil? And then said he would give us a free dessert. After we were complaining about how long we had been there no way we were sticking around with two (now tired) 2 year olds for a free cannoli.
I honestly don't know if I've seen a more poorly managed restaurant.
The really unfortunate thing is that the food was truly delicious but there's no way we will be back.
