| - This was a solid three-star review until I ate the sfogliatella pastry I took to go from the bakery and I had to bump it up to four stars. We were starving after a long morning of basketball, video poker and bloody marys (me), and sleeping until noon (my friend). So, we stopped in here because they had smallish things to eat - salads, sandwiches, soups, etc. I opted for the spinach and brie panino and was delighted that it came with a side of house salad. My friend ordered a pizza and a full-sized house salad. My panino was very good. It was also very cheesy and rich (the brie) so I couldn't finish it all. The side salad was very nice (lettuce, basil, olives, onions, tomatoes). My friend's pizza was pretty decent - not the best thin Italian-style pizza but still pretty good. It had a nice, fresh tomato sauce which I liked a lot.
The service was good although it took a while for them to get to us. But, overall it was fine. When I went in to the bakery later to get a treat to take away, the ladies behind the counter were very sweet, friendly and helpful. They were so great that I returned the next day to get another sfogliatella. Or, maybe it was the pastry that made me return because it was delicious :)
