I came here for the macarons due to the reviews on yelp and the fact that they supposedly have a French chef who makes them. Sadly I ended up being disappointed.
The first time I stopped by the French chef was on vacation so they were out of several flavors and only had frozen macarons. Ok fine I decided to try them anyways and promised to return when the chef was back. The macarons were less sweet than I'm used to which is a plus, but I found that the macaron shells were somewhat hollow and empty on the inside.
I hoped it was a fluke and went back again when the chef was back and they had all their flavors. The macarons were even worse this time. They still only offered frozen ones and they were very stiff, dry, and difficult to bite into (I did wait for them to defrost). On top of that they had shells that were essentially completely hollow. Maybe the texture would be better if they were fresh rather than frozen but the shells should definitely not have been that hollow, especially if they're made by a chef who specializes in macarons.
The people there are nice and maybe their other pastries are good but it's hard to say since the display shelves were pretty much empty both times I was there. So disappointed cuz I really wanted to like this place!
