This is a three star complex turned to zero stars in just a few short months thanks to the new Mark Taylor management team. There are many issues with Slate Scottsdale formerly known as Alta Paradise Ridge but here's an easy test to determine if this is the right place for you: If you own a car or intend on entertaining, don't move here. Thanks to a new parking policy there's no parking available at regardless of the time of day. Your option is to stalk people as they leave or park your car at Lifetime Fitness or Whole Foods and walk home.
If having a place to park isn't an issue, be aware that the staff is rude, largely unavailable and slow to respond. The grounds are poorly maintained and there's trash and dog feces all over the complex. Be aware that in addition to your rent the common expenses have continued to increase every month that Mark Taylor has managed the property. Just anticipate another $150+ in monthly fees with no cap.
One last thing, construction has begun behind the complex of an entire new community called Paradise Ridge. The construction is noisy and dusty and will probably take at least a year to complete.
My recommendation is to move to 90 Degrees at Paradise Ridge, the View at Cascade or Camden Paradise Ridge when it is completed. The San Milan down the street is also managed by Mark Taylor and is marred with problems.
If you were smart enough to research apartments before renting, run don't walk away from this place. Good luck.
