  • Mermaid is a nice little cafe with delicious sandwiches and salads. I find it to be a good alternative to Lazy Jane's which can be crazy on the weekends. They're an even better alternative to Monty's which I think has gone downhill over the decades. They have a salad with beets and greens that is quite tasty...and I say that as someone who generally dislikes beets. They do a good job with their coffee drinks. I love their dedication to local farmers and food sources. I only wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.
