Toscana looks like you are in Italy from the way the outdoor area is setup to how the inside gives the vibe a small Italian restaurant. There aren't many items on the menu which made it easier to decide and what to get. They serve bread and bean butter at each table upon sitting down. The bread was a little over cooked but still tasted really good. I like spreading regular butter on my bread so this threw me for a loop. I actually like the beans and it added an extra flavor to the bread than normal butter would.
Next I decided to try the bruschetta. Bruschetta is a staple of Italian dishes and you can tell a lot about a restaurant on how they make their bruschetta. The bruschetta tasted good. It had good flavor and the mozzarella tasted fresh.
For the main dish I ordered buttera without the Italian sausage. Buttera is made up of tubular pasta, sweet peas, tomato cream sauce and Italian sausage. This dish wasn't that good. It lacked the flavor that a traditional pasta dish would have. The reason I was expecting the food to taste more authentic is because that is how they present themselves. I added crushed red pepper for extra flavor and spice. Plus the dish was overpriced and the portion was small.
Overall it was ok, the service was ok and the food was ok. I will not be going back.
