  • So after thorough research I have finally found me a primary care doctor to coordinate my care with the specialists that I see. Although I have a POS plan it's cheaper for me to have a referral from my primary care doctor and the copayment is definitely cheaper so why not. Due to the stupid 15 freeway being a parking lot (I was unaware it was down to 1 lane) I was about 5 minutes late but I called them to let them know that I was on my way. When I pulled up to the building there was a huge Julie Wu M.D. sign on the building so you can't miss it. It's in the cut at a littel quiet bulding off by itself and a few other doctors offices that are also in this building. When you walk in straight ahead is her office and although the waiting room was kind of small it was clean, comfortable, and didn't make me seen anxious. I was called up immediately after I filled out the new patient paperwork and after I was finished and paid my copayment they called me back into the office. Total time I was there was about 45 minutes to an hour and not alot of waiting time at all. I was extremely satisfied with Dr. Wu and her taking the time to get to know me, my symptoms, my history, and how can we move forward to a health me. She discussed thoroughly all of the pros and cons of my medications and possible interactions. I was able to ask questions and they were answered to my satisfaction and I didn't feel rushed or anything. She seemed to really care and very thorough and has a great beside manner. She wrote down all of the referrals I requested and repeated the to me and I was on my way. She ordered lab work and stated she would follow up with me after she receives the results so I can come back in. As I check out I'm given my paperwork for the lab and they told me they would start the process for the referrals that I very much need to get my benefits covered under the HMO side instead of the POS side. Although this is clearly across town for me and gas is $3.00 a gallon it's definitely worth it. It has been a while since I had a primary care doctor and glad I did the research and found one that is excellent. I highly recommend her she seems to be a pretty dope doctor.
