  • I have been to Mallorca many times for lunch and have always enjoyed the food and good service. In fact, the service was one thing I always liked about Mallorca because it was always very attentive and professional. I recently dined there with my family to celebrate a birthday. While we sat down and were deciding what to order for appetizers and drinks, the server seemed very impatient. His attitude continued until we ordered our entrees. The calamari arrived and was extremely chewy to the point of being inedible. My husband complained to our server about the quality of the calamari. He quickly became very annoyed and irritable. He wanted to know what we'd like instead. Being that we had 5 people in our party, I asked him how many shrimp were included in the shrimp appetizer. He also seemed annoyed by my question and gave me an abrupt answer. After this, he disappeared and we never saw him again until later when we left the restaurant and saw him sitting on the sidewalk smoking a cigarette. Obviously, he was having a bad night, but it's a shame his poor service and attitude had to put a damper on our evening. It makes me reluctant to recommend this restaurant given the poor service we experienced on this visit.
