| - So about two months ago I decided to go short. Maybe a pixie, maybe a bob, all I knew is I wanted it off my shoulders. I feel like a change and wanted to try a new salon. Checking reviews I found Be Inspired. Tons of great reviews. I picked Anna but it would take six weeks to get in because of my schedule... I was fine with that since I didn't know what I wanted yet. few weeks before my appointment I got a call saying I had to pick a different stylist. I let her know that I wanted to go short so she said Brittany would be a great fit.
First time at the salon and I go through the wrong door. I'm sure it's annoying I was about to turn around and a stylist (who was super nice about it) let me in. I did apologize but she just brushed it off : ) I was surprised that 4 girls in the salon that night had a rubber band in their hair. none were really a ponytail per say but with such great reviews and all the updos they do I was surprised. I get it, that's why I wanted to go short because it's so easy just to grab a rubber band and be done.
within few minutes I'm back with Brittany - she's asking lots questions : ) and so I show her 22 pins. All short, from bob's to pixies. for her to look at and I honestly wanted to see what she would go with for me.
She didn't like any of them - let me know do to my thin and fine hair those cuts would not be a good fit. She then was searching for a picture of what she thought would be good cut. I then showed her my other pinterest board with 200 pins in it (almost)... nope, she didn't like any of them.
she found the picture and it was a cut I had done in the past. it was... to me...a mom bob. simple, straight, flat basic bob. Not bad. just I guess not what I was hoping for. When she got ready to start cutting, she told me she did not want to take it up much past my shoulders ... sort in the middle.
I should have just got up and walked out at that point. I really regret it looking back.
I wasn't sure if she was done cutting yet but she asked what I thought so far... and I nodded yes.. I didn't know what to say. As she styled it it just wasn't me. it was long and cute. she put curls in it that made the ends turn up... and by george it was cute! Very cute very very cute. She also showed me a product that helps I assume with clients that are losing hair because it adds brown (my hair color) to hide your scalp. I think she used the can up showing me how great it worked on me : (
As I got ready to go I told her I wasn't happy with it.
I regret it now. I made her cut it shorter. She then made it into a bob. This time she just brushed out the curls she had put in it and started cutting. (It took a few days before my husband told me... I think your hair cut if off. just the one side in the back is longer :(I was really unhappy.)
When she showed me I just paid $42 for this cut. and I debated about tipping my old waitress days hit me and I put $8 tip. I also regret that but I remember those tipping days.
Brittany and I are not a good fit. I got the haircut on wednesday Oct 7, on Oct 10th I called and said I needed it fixed and I would take whoever could get in in the soonest. I was told that since Britteny cut it she has to "fix it". The soonest is Oct 20th at 7:30. I did try calling again on Oct 12th, and asked again, said I could come in by 5:30 and would take anyone.
No. they keep asking for me to come in earlier but unless my husband takes time off work or I pay to get a babysitter it makes no sense to me to do this for them when they messed up.
So for almost 2 weeks I will own this $50 haircut that is not straight in the back. Every day I make sure to try and wear it messy with hopes others don't notice.
I'm debating if I should even go back.
