rev:text	Delicious find on the Danforth! We wandered in here while patrolling the streets for something sweet (which, sadly, happens a little too often), and got seduced by the name and the decor. And when we saw the baked goods display, it was love at first sight. The place is small, quaint, and narrow, and the lady behind the counter was very talkative and kind. The day we were there, they were in the process of waiting for their fridge to come in to stock beverages, cause as of then it was limited to water or coffee. But who cares?! Who needs to stay hydrated when you could stuff yourself with the array of beautiful cakes, pies, cookies, squares, brownies, etc.?! We had to go with the slice of pie she recommended - the name of which I cannot remember as it was a blur of pecans, chocolate shortcake crust, more chocolate, caramel, and some other goodness that pushed me over the edge. What sold us? The fact that it won BEST DESSERT at a recent food convention. The slice was huge, and while a little pricey (about $7), it was more than two of us could handle. It was divine. Best ever? Perhaps not. But up there on the list? Absolutely. In speaking with the lady behind the counter between mouthfuls of pie, apparently they have a specialist baker for each "category" (ex. pies, misc baked treats, cakes, etc.), but the team behind the wedding cakes dept. is constantly overwhelmed, pushing out almost 5 cakes per day! Forget Cake Boss, these folks need their own show! All in all, if you find yourself wandering 'round the Danforth, definitely sneak in here. But be warned - I'll be impressed if you can walk out of there empty handed.
