  • Low key, nice ambience bar in the heart of Old Montreal. This was our 2nd time here and honestly, we liked it better the first time. I had the cava and my friends had a couple of gin and tonics, martinis and rum and cokes. When you're located in Old Montreal and bars are a dime a dozen, you truly need to stand out to earn anything above 3 stars. Whether it's drinks, ambience or service. This place had the ambience down (which isn't difficult to do in Old Montreal). The drinks were nothing earth shattering. So service was a potential stand out domain. Unfortunately, they didn't. I wouldn't go so far as to say they flopped, but they were mediocre at best. We sat at the window where there was a high top counter facing the street so we could people watch as we enjoyed our libations. The waitress came by a couple of times but she was curt and seemed hurried every time, like we were taking up her precious time... Not a great impression. When we came previously we sat right at the bar and had wonderful service, so maybe the key here is: you'll get good service, as long as it's convenient for them?
