  • The whole experience was quite strange from the beginning to the end. The only reason I give this place 3 stars is because my eyebrows, indeed, look great and that was the whole point. I called a day ahead of time to make an appointment and the man assured me that they did not take appointments, walk-ins only. Knowing threading only takes a few minutes I was fine with that. When I arrived I was a little bit nervous about walking in. All of the windows and doors have that screening with posters to where you can't see in... kind of like 'happy ending' massage places. Walking into the place didn't make me feel any more confident as there was stuff all over; bottles of beauty supplies, perfumes, purses for sale... the whole place kind of looked like a swap meet. Remembering the strong referral from a friend and the great reviews on Yelp, I sat down and was told I was third in line. Only a few moments passed by before a nice lady came and took me to a seat. I didn't get her name but she had long burgundy and black dreads. Having very little experience with threading, I usually just go with the recommendation of the technician. We talked it over briefly and she set to work. However, just as I was about to relax, we were interrupted by another lady who wanted to know if I minded if someone else took over my threading because the lady who was taking care of me had an appointment. Wait? I thought they didn't take appointments. I was not comfortable with her stopping nearly halfway through my treatment because I knew she had a plan and someone else's plan might be different. I nervously declined. While my technician went back to work, I took in more of the 'swap meet' type ambiance. Young children and/or infants played audibly in the back while a man talked on the phone in a foreign language. What was missing was some sort of music to muffle those sounds. The shop was errily quiet except for those sounds. There was nothing professional or soothing about this place. I felt maybe a bit spoiled by my previous experiences in hair and nail salons throughout Vegas as I felt like this spot was not up to par. She finished my brows and had me check to make sure I was happy.....indeed I was. The lady who previously interrupted apologized again and attempted to explain what had happened. I just wanted to get out of there. I paid, $10, the going rate, looked around one more time at all the random junk for sale, tipped my lady well for she had done a great job, and skidaddled. As great as my eyebrows look, I just don't think I want that experience again. I'm off to look for a more professional, organized environment.
