I got a flyer in the mail that said $9.95 a month. I thought, "wow!" i'll check it out. I checked out Planet Fitness but they don't have a pool so i decided to check out EOS based on the price on the flier to see if it had a pool which it did. The pool is not impressive.
I was told I had to pay $10.00 for a 7 day membership. I was told that if i didn't join now, the rates would go up February 1. They told me about a 39.99 a year fee to insure your rates don't go up. (Don't bother going if you want to use the pool for $9.95. It is at least $19.95 for that.)
Anyways, I thought I was purchasing a 7 day trial pass with the option to see if i wanted to join and it was like a "good faith payment" for joining. So anyways, I didn't want to join and when i went in they told me I would have to pay $64.00 on February 2.
I was under the impression that if I decided not to join within the 7 days, that I would not be charged any membership. The "manager" told me when I went to cancel that I needed to have cancelled within 5 days. The sales person never told me that.
I don't recommend this gym. The parking was terrible during the evening...dangerous even. I am really bummed that I fell for this scam.
