  • I used this service for many months in the hopes of finding a provider that could take care of the house cleaning duties while my wife was pregnant. In the beginning there were only small issues- mostly around not having continuity between cleanings. Almost every time it was a different cleaner w/ different standards. That's to be expected. There were probably 2 or 3 instances where we were legitimately WOWed. One one day, we noticed that the cleaning crew was messing with our homemade arcade system. It was blown off saying that they probably just hit a button during the cleaning. But that kind of touch doesn't start new games and exit screens (especially when the product is LINUX based). But the real issue is that when things are broken during the cleaning and the business' main response is that "I'd be shocked if the cleaners / women we have were strong enough to dismantle" referring to the removed handle from my sink faucet. I have copied the entire email communication (but redacted my contact info). Being sexist is one thing; but also telling a customer that you don't believe them? Hard pass on both counts... ------------------------- A woman can't pull off a handle? That's the response? And your flat out saying that a customer is lying? I appreciate you defending your workers but this is asinine. A customer that has the money to pay for this kind of service wouldn't make up a story to get a faucet handle repaired. It's pennies in comparison. I am upset because of the principle of the matter and the inconvenience- not because of a financial burden. We appreciate you covering the cost and yes you're correct- we will move on and find someone else who can admit when something is their fault. Accidents happen- and employers should respect customers enough to own up to them. So, since you asked, my assumption and honest take would be the faucet was loose in some fashion and as we wiped it came off. What we can do is give you the entire cleaning for free and then transition away to allow you to find a company you feel safer with.
