  • I've come to enjoy my weekly torture sessions at Flywheel sports. Sounds weird, I know, but I just can't help it...I'm hooked. Everything about Flywheel is easy except for the classes. The website is great, the app is extremely user-friendly and the check-in process is seamless. The customer experience itself is 5 star. Once you actually get to the facility, it's easy to navigate. Here's what you can expect: 1. You walk in and check in on the app or at the computer 2. Grab your shoes. Flywheel gives you shoes in your size and puts them in your cubby hole so they are ready for you when you walk in. Your cubby hole number is the same as the bike number you chose for your class...easy peasy. 3. Head over to the lockers and put everything inside except your water. They have a board where you can write your locker number in case you forget. All locks are set-your-own-combo so no need to bring a lock. 4. Grab a towel and head into class. You signed up for a specific bike, so look for your number and your name on the screen. 5. Set up your bike. If you're having trouble, there are usually 2-3 people walking around helping everyone make adjustments. Just flag someone down and they will help you adjust your bike properly. 6. Pedal like crazy! Class is intense. The instructor gives you guidance on how fast you should be going and at what resistance. Expect to be drinking water and using that towel you grabbed on your way in. 7. Class is over. Toss your shoes and towels in the bins, refill your water at the water station, and you're on your way. Don't forget to check your app to see how you did on your performance after the class! It will show you how you did compared to everyone else in the class to help push you to get better next time! The tools are useful and the instructors are incredibly motivating. I love that they keep the lights down really low so it doesn't get hot in the room and no one else can see how slow you're pedaling. There are certainly the regulars at Flywheel that are amazing, but it's totally a No Judgement zone for those like me who are beginners and are clearly much slower.
