  • Just the fact that this place exist validates the cult like following of the original movie released in 1983 although I don't know every word or every line of the movie I continue to watch the movie every year and found myself wanting to experience this if only for a few moments, so I did a drive by and snapped a photo. The neighborhood definitely met my expectations, it's not unlike a lot of neighborhoods in the area so any one of the houses surrounding this neighborhood could of qualified for the movie. I hope the owners can appreciate what the neighbors have to endure and at least sends each a Christmas card or a thank you note. I noticed a few neighbors have taken advantage of the situation and converted their lawns into parking lots and charge a nominal fee ranging from $5 to $10 dollars. The traffic on this particular day wasn't bad we were only delayed because of a garbage truck going house to house people here park on the street so navigating though is somewhat like a maze. I don't know if this visit will enhance my viewing experience the next time I watch the movie but it's doesn't matter I'm sure I will continue to watch it while preparing Christmas dinner and can now say I was there.
