| - We had a terrible experience with this hotel. I am writing this review to give people an idea of what to expect if they choose to stay here. I was with my sister, friend, cousin, and 2 babies.
We booked 2 rooms. My friend and I stayed in one of the 2 bed rooms. First, the pictures on the website ARE NOT in any way an accurate description of what you get when you stay at the hotel. Our room was fairly clean, but not to the level you would expect of a hotel with the cleaning service. There were no dishes, silverware, cookware, or utensils of any kind in the room, which makes the kitchenette pointless outside of the fridge.
Our room did not have any toilet paper upon arrival. We had dirty clothing and garbage inside of the pull out sofa. There were stains on the bedding. The water pressure in the shower was almost nonexistent. Despite what the pictures show, the rooms are actually extremely small. The beds squeak with every movement. The bathroom door was so squeaky when shutting it that it would wake up the other people in the room. There were questionable people lurking outside of the hotel at all hours, who apparently live in some of the rooms. We were on vacation, and were awoken at 7:00 in the morning to the sound of someone banging down a door, a dog barking, and individuals either arguing or speaking to each other extremely loudly.
My sister and cousin had an even worse experience. Their first room had dirty and stained carpet, filthy pull out sofa, pubic hairs all over the bathroom floor, and a dead bug on the wall. Their first room also smelled strongly of marijuana. As they had 2 babies with them, they requested another room. The staff did accommodate the request and put them in another room, but that room wasn't much better.
They had a single queen bed with pull out sofa. Again, there were no dishes, glasses or utensils in the kitchenette. The second room smelled of old onions. They had to scrub down the bathtub before putting the babies in for a bath. Once the pull out sofa was set up it blocked occupants from crossing the room as it was pulled out underneath the kitchen table. They too were awoken by loud occupants in neighboring units.
The "grab and go" breakfast in the lobby is similar to what you find in a gas station... coffee dispensers with pre-made coffee and prepackaged granola bars. We had to go out and buy water bottles and snacks that we could eat without any need for cooking. We had to purchase paper cups and plastic utensils. There was seriously not 1 good thing about our 2 night experience in this hotel.
After the second night we could not take it anymore and requested an early check out so that we could move to another hotel. Thankfully they did not fight us on the early check out and agreed to refund us for the remaining pre-paid night. I suspect that they know the hotel is not up to standard which is why they didn't fight us on leaving early. As of the writing of this review, the refund has not yet posted, but I am hopeful that I won't have to fight to get that back.
When you see "newly renovated" you have certain expectations. This hotel did not meet any of our expectations, and in fact, makes me question whether or not it was actually renovated.
