Whatever you do, do NOT buy this insurance. We adopted a puppy and began having our veterinarian examine her the day we took her home. She was 12 weeks old at time of first exam. Just before Thanksgiving, the puppy tore a ligament in her knee. She is now 17 months old.
I purchased full coverage insurance with Embrace on June 29, 2013. Prior to the inception of the policy, this puppy has had 5 orthopedic exams with no findings for pre-existing conditions.
The treating surgeon noted in his report that this injury was the result of an accident and was not pre-existing. Our vet indicated the same in his exam on Nov. 5, 2013.
In spite of the surgeon and the vet submitting numerous reports to Ensure along with very detailed records of examinations starting at 12 weeks old indicating that there were no orthopedic issues. Ensure has denied the claim 3 times and is now stating that this was a pre-existing condition.
DO NOT waste your time or money trusting this company! They will find a loop hole to avoid payment of claims!!
Thank you to the reviewer who submitted the Attorney General's appeal information. I will be writing a letter to them and to the Better Business Bureau. Buyer BEWARE!!! I only gave them 1 star because there was no option to give them any less. They will rip you off!
