| - This is the third Paul Mitchell School I've gone to and it was a terrible disappointment. The other two Paul Mitchell Schools (Annapolis and Frederick) were professional establishments and went out of their way to make sure I was happy with my service, and their lead teachers checked in several times with me personally. I haven't left crying from a salon in my life. That changed today. I brought in several pictures of myself with the color I wanted my hair to look like, the color it was just a few years ago. The color in the pictures was only a few shades darker than my current color; I wanted a nice darker chocolate brown like I've had in previous years. However, despite bringing in actual pictures of myself with the dark chocolate hair color, they dyed my hair a jet black. It looks AWFUL and there is no question I will need to go elsewhere to have the color fixed. I place no blame on the student whatsoever as she is learning, however, the teacher that signs off on her paperwork should've done a much better job helping her choose/mix up the dye. The real kicker for me was when I shared with the student, who then shared with her teacher, that I was unhappy with the color, the teacher flippantly told me there is nothing she can do, it's permanent hair color, and I was one the who said I wanted dark (NO, I said I wanted the color that was in the picture, I have no idea which swatch of hair and dye combination will get me that result). The lack of empathy the teacher displayed towards a client, and modeled for her students, was remarkably poor. I will not be a return customer and will actively advise my friends and family to not service this salon.
