  • The HEADS UP DISPLAY on my 328i is not the same as it was before KING installed the replacement windshield! I would not recommend taking german cars to them. I took my bmw 328i for windshield replacement to them which had a heads up display. Before the windshield replacement, the heads up display (HUD) was working fine. After the replacement, the HUD did not turn ON. After detailed investigation, they said they got the wrong windshield and rescheuled me for the replacement for next week. After 2 days, they called me to tell me that the windshield that they installed is fine and I need to check the car to see if its working. After checking my car, to my surprize the HUD came back up and was working. But, it was way too dim and even after cranking up all the settings on the dash, I could not get it to where it used to be. i called them and told them that its working, but not as bright as it was initially. They then started telling me that something is wrong with your car and you should take it to the dealership, since it was not working and later started working. I took it to chapman and they said it did not turn up right away because it requires a calibration if you move your glass and this calibration takes time if not calibrated by the shop keeper. KING WINDSHIELD OFCOURSE DID NOT KNOW THIS!!! BMW could not find anything wrong with the car and said they can't do anything. Now I am stuck with the crappy windshield installed by KING WINDSHIELD. I am waiting for a rock to crack my windshield again so that I can get it replaced through a Safelite or someone more reliable. I would certainly not recommend you going to them. Update in Jan 2018 - recently had a windshield replaced but this time through safelite auto glass. The heads up display is working fine again. Clearly suggests that the KING WINDSHIELD had installed a non HUD windshield on my car or had a fake HUD windshield. FUCKING THIEVES!
