| - My first trip to the Festival. Really did not know what to expect. All I expected was to eat some good food and relax.
Located at Sunset Station in one of the many parking lots surrounding the casino. Had a hard time locating the festival after parking in the garage, literally no signage, so we walked around for 20 minutes and asked many hotel employees who did not seem to know where it was! Ha! Finally found it on our own!
Definitely a Food Festival! Tons of people and super crowded, lines were long for every truck.
I wanted a corn dog!! And I found 'Worlds Best Corn Dog LV'. This is a serious corn dog(7.00) , super long and thick, lol. The corn meal breading was crunchy and succulent. Love Love.
My friend had a Greek Gyro(12.00), which was good. Stopped at a Venezuelan truck called 'Mr Cooker' and ordered a sirloin tip sandwich with some sort of cornmeal bread that held it together. It was delicious, loved it(14.00).
We started to look for a lemonade stand and we found this organic place called 'Organic-Made To Order'. So ordered a lemonade, supposedly organic..ahhhhh..warm, super small, no flavor and a whopping $6!!! Totally not worth it!
Finally, Funnel Cake. Im not a fan but my friend is and he loved it.
All in all I had a good time but the food prices were way over priced for the size of the portions. I understand its a festival, but inflating the prices is not attractive. One vendor told me his prices are half the amount when he is out and about in Vegas in his food truck. So I know for a fact they rip the customers off.
Its cool, I went, I saw, I ate.
