The restaurant has character. In front where you enter, you order either to-go or to dine in. If you dine in, you take your food to the back along a corridor that has the restrooms to a garage that has been converted into a restaurant/sitting area. There's no windows and the lights are bright.
The thing I didn't like was the fact the restrooms wasn't cordoned off from the main eating area. In other words there were eating tables in the vicinity of the restroom door/area (-1).
When you enter, you get in line and order. The menu is on the small side as it's on a flat screen TV (-1). The food is prepared in front of you when you order, e.g. the brisket is cut in front of you, the pulled pork is mixed straight from the container and prepped in front of you, and the chicken is removed from the bone and prepped in front of you.
I had the Smokin' Sampler that comes with 2 sides, pulled pork, smoked chicken and a smoked sausage though you could substitute any meat for brisket for $1.49 extra so what I did was substitute the chicken for brisket. I opted for the BBQ beans and coleslaw.
The brisket had a nice smokey flavor to it and was tender and juicy. The pulled pork was also good, though perhaps a little on the dry side which wasn't a problem as I utilized some of their signature sauces they had in the back. There are 4 sauces/bottles - mustard flavored, sweet & mild (my favorite), hot & spicy (which wasn't hot and spicy in my opinion), and a smoked tangy sauce (another favorite of mine).
The BBQ beans was well seasoned and some kick to it. Their coleslaw was creamy, not watery, well seasoned, and crunchy.
Price for the Smokin' Sampler was $10.99 plus the $1.49 substitution which wasn't bad for lunch at all. Portion sizes were good and didn't give that overstuffed feeling but filling.
