  • While I am sure the shopping experience and the prices are good I am compelled to comment on the advertising practice of Lee's Discount Liquors. If there was another venue for this I would comment there as well. There is a billboard ad for this establishment on the corner of Warm Springs Road and Las Vegas Blvd with two men appearing to snicker with the words, " Warning: Alcohol Consumption May Result In Pregnancy". As a health care professional, (and female and a human being) I find this particularly offensive. Outrageously offensive. A person reading this can interpret this in different ways. Does this imply that drinking alcohol may cause pregnancy because a woman's judgement may be impaired? Or that a man may force himself on a woman who may be impaired by alcohol? Or -- you interpret this please. Notice there are only males snickering on the billboard's photo. I don't think many women would find this amusing. The relevance of drug and alcohol in sexual abuse is by no means something to snicker at. In any case, any pregnancy that is the outcome of alcohol ingestion is NOT a joke. I am hoping more people complain about this billboard and it is taken down.
