| - I usually do not write reviews, but I had an experience today that warrants a comment. Over the last couple of years I have purchased over $5,000 of sound equipment from Guitar Center. One of the reasons is the local customer service and knowledgeable personal that go out of their way to solve problems and make suggestions.
Actually, that was the case even today. The staff were fantastic and quick to figure out that a new Bose system was unboxed at the store so it would fit in my car and as a result, a cable was left in a box and ultimately lost.
The problem arose when I returned to get the missing unique cable only to learn that the "Store Manager" would not allow a replacement to be taken from inventory.
While I understand her motivation to not mess up inventory, as a customer, I felt like the staff were really trying to solve my problem, while the manager showed NO interest.
I was ready to go home and box up the enter system and return it, when a Staff member offered to loan me his personal system cable until a replacement could be sent from Bose. Because I do not have a performance for another two weeks and this offer was so genuine, I left happy and will check back when the cable arrives.
However, what I learned is that if future problems arise, this manager will do NOTHING to help a customer. So, I will make all future purchases with this awareness. I may even wait until enough of these issues occur that she is no longer a problem for customers.
