| - The bowling alley itself is nice. The staff is friendly.
My issue is with the cost.
My son (11) and I are very much amateur bowlers (I haven't bowled in a decade, and it was his 2nd time ever).
Anyway, bored on a hot Saturday afternoon, we went here to kill a couple hours. It seemed like a great idea...
I read the cost, stated as $5/shoes (each), and $5/game. We played a "best of 7". When finished, he won 4 and I won 3. It took us a total of about one hour and 45 minutes. So far, so good...
Upon checking out however, I was told the total price was $100. I had sticker shock, expecting it to be maybe half that...tops!
The reason? It's $5 per game, per person! So in fact, it was $10 per game since there were 2 if us playing. Pretty deceiving (it does say this in the fine print on there website) .
Also, they insisted we played 8 games even though we only counted 7. Whichever the case, including 2 sodas and a plate of nachos, I spent over $120 basically messing around at the bowling alley for less than 2 hours.
I guess if you're a serious bowler and/or expect this type of expense in advance, you'll enjoy the place. There's nothing bad about it.
Personally, had I more clearly understood the cost, I can think of a lot of better values. A lot!
