  • Times have really changed and fashion continues to diversify itself with the influence of some of the most powerful figures and celebrities in this day and age...... The End. jk. Now, onto what I experienced here at C & V Nails and Spa. OK. Times really have changed and it isn't considered odd when a male, such as myself, decides to get his grown man on and get his nails cleaned up to look fresh for special occasions. If you still think it's not normal for a man to go to spa and get his nails and cuticles cut, nails filed down and rounded, and buffed then you need to take a time machine to the present and come to terms with the change. I used to be lost in the caveman era, but once I got my hands and feet cleaned up, I've been addicted since! And coming to C & V Nails and Spa has continued to provide me with this newfound satisfaction! I was with my GF at Ulta picking some stuff up with her and we decided to get our hands cleaned up before being hosts at an art gala social for our Church. She told me to find a place near our Church so we wouldn't be late for choir practice, so what did I do? Pulled out my iPhone and hit the Yelp app and searched for a place and on top of that list it said: "C & V Nails and Spa, 0.1 miles from 9930 Cheyenne Avenue." PERFECT! I called and asked their hours and prices. The woman who answered must've been Bob Barker's lost Asian cousin because the price was right (sorry... I know-- corny!)! She sounded very nice and told me that they weren't too busy and when we arrived they really weren't. I hate when stores say they aren't busy, but there's close to... i don't know.... 20 PEOPLE WAITING! That wasn't the case here. We were seated and they immediately started going to town on our hands. I feel really bad for not remembering their names but they were very polite and funny too! The woman cutting my nails thought I was a Korean actor! That definitely was a first! Hahaha! We paid $35 including tip for the both of us. There's not too much to ask from a spa for a man like me except to not make me bleed when you're trimming my cuticles and they didn't so they get there kudos and a little more for the small talk and humour! I would recommend adding a little more to the aesthetics of their salon to make it look more welcoming. The walls are a little bare. Other than the visuals about C & V, I would definitely come back here to get this kind of service again! Tip: Literally, tip. They prefer cash for their tips so come with a few bucks to give for their good service here!
