  • At first the owner and other technicians were very friendly and pretty funny so needless to say my mother and I were having a great time chatting with everyone while being pampered and getting our pedicures. But as the pedicure was coming to an end it was like a switch went off with these ladies and it became "how much money can I get out of these 2 women". The prices there are higher in general but they also charged my mom and I $5 extra each for "removing" 1 callous on each of our feet. Next she told me that my feet are very rough and dry or what not and that I need to shave them once a week to keep them smooth (which wasn't exactly a false statement, I always seem to be barefoot). So she starts trying to sell me the same shaver she uses....for $30. To me that's too much since I don't need a top of the line foot shaver for goodness sakes, which I assume it is. Oh by the way, after I left there I looked up that shaver online and I seriously found it online for $5.99. The exact same one!!! Anyways I politely declined by saying "Thanks but not today, maybe next time" which I thought was pretty clear in saying I did not want to purchase it. But I was so wrong. The 2 other ladies start chirping in and the next 3-5 minutes of my pedicure consists of me saying "no, no thank you" to their pushiness. At this point I don't think I can stand sitting here anymore so I start gathering my shoes and purse to go meet my mom at the grocery store since she finished 10 minutes before me. I didn't know that she paid for my pedi as well since she's amazing and when they told me I was already taken care of, talk of "since your mother paid for you, you should spend the money you saved and let me wax your eyebrows".....what!?! Granted it doesn't sound as bad when I say it now (in fact, I'm pretty sure that everything I said so far probably doesn't sound as horrifying as I make it out to be) but it was downright rude. Especially when I am being told, and this is no joke, that my eyebrows look very bushy and it looks like I haven't worked on them in quite some time. Well I had them waxed less then 2 weeks ago and pluck them myself inbetween waxes. I was shocked that she would even want to try to wax them because of the higher risk of damaging my skin. It's ridiculous. Okay so I did vent a little too much just now and kinda rambled on a bit but the bottom line is my mom paid $60 for 2 pedicures, there is a very limited selection of nail polish, they tried to sucker us into spending more money, and they were all very rude when I wouldn't buy anything else. Take my advice and find another nail salon!!
