Can you say GREAT PLACE FOR BIRTHDAY'S! We were invited to a kindergarten classmates 6th Birthday hosted at Laser Quest. This was our first experience and I was pleasantly surprised with the facility. The lobby is large and has video and merchandise cranes for the guests, as well a two air hockey tables. The staff greeted us with a friendly hello and a smile right away when we walked in.
We showed a few moments late so we had to rush to get on the playing field with the other classmates. The staff gave everyone an introduction as to what to expect while out on the playing field and also informed the kids that if they needed help while playing just raise your hand and YELL! After going through the rules it was time for action. The playing course was really cool with neon paint that was illuminated by black lights. The playing field also had lots of mazes and things to hide behind as well as multi levels with ramps going up and down. Game play can last about 20 minutes per round and after you are done they give you a score card telling you how many targets you hit and who with a point total so you can see who the winner is right away.
We came here with small children 5-6 year olds and I might not recommend playing a game with this age group. They just do not quite comprehend what to do and the equipment weighs almost as much as they do. My daughter kept complaining the vest was hurting her, so I put it on for her during game two. Seriously the vest is like 10-12 lbs. For a little kid that is a lot I think. In my opinion Laser Quest would be best for 7 and up. At that age they can at least carry the shooter and vest and understand where to point the lasers during game play.
After playing two rounds which was perfect for this age group it was time for food presents, cake and ice cream. The nice thing about Laser Quest is that you can bring in whatever you like. They do not have food service like other party places so your options are endless and your own. The staff again was really helpful by giving plates, cups and napkins for our pizza we were having. When it was time for cake and ice cream the staff promptly fetched both from their fridge and freezer with more plates and forks. Great Job!
We had a great first visit to Laser Quest and we will be back again soon. I found out that they have a membership program you can purchase that will save you $2 off each game for an entire year. If you plan on coming often this can pay for itself in just a few visits. Laser Quest can also be rented for private events or if you are having a team building outing for your company. Contact them for questions but this might be fun. Someone was there from the corporate challenge that has been taking place all over Las Vegas.
